Hi, I’m Melissa Hyder, I am a new author here at R & R Web Design LLC, and I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself. I am a wife to an awesome and supportive husband, and a mother to two crazy and energetic boys, which is so fun.
My background is pretty diverse. I have done a lot of public speaking, worked with teens, and worked with organizations that want to help others in vulnerable situations. I am passionate about making a difference in the world through small practical acts of kindness and love.
I have loved getting to work here with R & R Web Design LLC, and I really look forward to getting to know you and interacting with you online.
In her article, social media star, Rebekah Radice, suggested 25 No-Fail Social Media Questions to Establish Meaningful Relationships, and I thought I would answer a few of them so you can get to know me at a more personal level.
I would love to get to know you better as well, so please answer one or more questions in the comments below!
- Are you a cat or dog lover?
I am totally a dog lover!
- Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a few different places: New Jersey, Michigan, and Illinois.
- What is the best thing to do in your hometown?
Since I currently live in a suburb of Chicago, I thought I would share that one of my favorite things to do here in the city is to take my boys to the different museums. The latest one we visited was the Garfield Conservatory which was free and beautiful.
- What is your favorite pastime?
I played soccer in college, and I miss everything about it. I traveled to Honduras, Brazil, and Egypt playing soccer. The memories I have from playing are by far one of my favorite pastimes.
- Who do you admire the most, and why?
There are many people I admire, but if I had to pick one, I would have to say, my husband, Matthew. He is a mental health therapist and works so hard to help others. He takes on a lot emotionally and he still manages to be a present and amazing father and husband.
- If you could run away for a day and do anything you want, what would you do?
I would fill my day with fun activities like snowboarding, rock climbing and hanging with Matthew. Then, I’d finish the day by chilling by an ocean somewhere and with a cocktail in my hand.
- If you could retire tomorrow, what would you do?
I would love to travel all over the world.
- What does your perfect pizza look like?
It is a peperoni deep dish pizza from Lou Malnatis.
- What is your superpower in business?
I am a combination of vision and connection. I see the end result and find a way to get there whether that is putting together a blog post, a talk, or organizing an event. I am a person that gets the job done. But, I also love to connect and work with others. I love collaborative work, and love to interact with people.
- If you could adopt a baby or an animal, which would you choose?
A baby. While I love dogs and have rescued a dog in the past, I am so passionate about adoption for children. I believe every child deserves a loving home. I work part time with a company called, Noonday Collection, that helps families all over the country raise money for their own adoptions.
- Tea or coffee?
I am actually both. I drink coffee in the morning and move to tea for an afternoon boost.
- If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Red and yellow peppers.
Again, please choose one, two or more questions from the list above and put your answer(s) in the comments below. Thank you, and I can’t wait to continue connecting with you.
