Website Design FAQs and Answers

We’ve put together a list of the top FAQs and answers that we have heard over the years. From why one should hire a website designer to the difference between web design and web maintenance, here are those FAQs and our answers:

Why should I hire a website designer?

To save time. Hiring a website designer will help you save precious time so that you can concentrate on your business, your vocation, or your organization. Even the best website software takes time to learn. Many are expensive. Some limit creativity and are not compatible with each other.

A web designer can implement proven skills to create your website quickly and efficiently.

I have a small business and would like a website. Where do I start?

I have a website, but I’d like it to look more professional. Can you help?

Yes. A web designer specialist will examine your current site, discuss your goals, and work with you to plan the redesign of your site.

I would like a website. Where do I begin?

To minimize the involvement and cost of the website designer, supply as much information as possible. Have you seen a website that you admire on the Internet that would give us an idea of what you would like? The following are suggestions to start with:

  • Decide what you want on the web.
  • Set your goals – What do you want to accomplish?
  • Organize your ideas into main topics.
  • Decide what you want your website to look like.
    • Colors?
    • Layout ideas
    • Mobile friendly? – This is a must.

Can I start with approximately eight pages to my website and add onto it later?

Absolutely. After your website is up and running, contact R & R Web Design LLC with additional ideas.

What is the difference between web design and web maintenance?

Web design is the actual creation of the initial website. Web maintenance is the updating and changing of content on that site. The web design contract is separate from the web maintenance or webmaster agreement.

We do not charge for minimal changes to a website if you’re our web maintenance client. For example, if your e-mail address changes and you want it corrected on a web page, you will not be charged. Simply e-mail your request.

However, if you expect your site to change frequently, we can customize a web maintenance agreement specifically for your needs.

I have a nonprofit organization and have a limited budget. Can you help?
