Passion Planner Review
Looking for a way to help define your goals and help you to achieve them?
Need a little direction?
Today, I am excited to share with you a product review. I am excited because I have found this product to be incredibly helpful and believe in it.
Let me be clear. I paid cash for my Passion Planner and by no means am I or is R & R Web Design LLC compensated in any way for this article. In addition, I am not, nor is R & R Web Design LLC, an affiliate in any form.
Earlier this year, we published an article 6 Tips to Setting Goals You Can Actually Accomplish. Tip number 5 is to put it in writing. In that article, I shared that I was waiting for my new Passion Planner to arrive in the mail. Well it has come, and since many of you agreed with us about the importance of “writing it down”, I thought you might want to know about this little gem I found.
How I Found About the Passion Planner
I found out about the Passion Planner simply by scanning my Facebook feed. The company was doing some sort of promotion.
Once I read their story – the story of the founder, designer, and CEO – I was hooked and inspired. I ordered mine within a few hours.
On a Personal Note: Recently, I have been more and more challenged about where I spend my money. It started when Melissa Hyder introduced me to Noonday Collection. I’m not much of a jewelry person, but I loved the idea of my purchase helping to create real change in this world.
The glimpse inside Ethiopia tugged at my heart. My favorite necklace, the Two Coins Necklace, is made by a special group of artisans who are living with the stigma of having HIV. While HIV is treatable, prior to Noonday making a connection with this group, the medications were unaffordable.
There are 760,000 people living with HIV in Ethiopia and 900,000 orphans due to AIDS.
“Now, Noonday is not only helping bring orphans home to their forever families, but helping keep Ethiopian families together through sustainable employment, job training, and fair wages.”
I believe that every purchase has power behind it no matter how small.
The Story Of How the Passion Planner Got Started
The story of how the Passion Planner got started and what it’s meant to do is something I want to support. I am proud to purchase my Passion Planner.
“I want to make love, gratitude and self-motivation the primary force that propelled action. I wanted to help people pursue their passions; to pursue that thing that makes them excited to get up everyday because when you follow your passion you never have to work a day in your life.” – Angela Trinidad, CEO, Designer and Founder
Bloggers Know About Passion
Whether you are blogging for a small business, a mommy blog, or trying to connect with people, there is usually one thing that bloggers have in common and it is passion.
It would be shocking for someone to blog for any length of time without having passion.
Even with all the passion, sometimes we need a little help. That is where I think the Passion Planner comes in really handy.
Not Just a Planner
The Passion Planner isn’t just a planner. It’s a goal setting tool. It prompts and encourages you to dream and pursue those dreams. Here are some of the features the planner offers,
- Goal Setting Guide – 3 Months, 1 Year, 3 Years, and Lifetime
- Weekly Appointment Calendar
- Weekly and Monthly Prioritized Personal and Work to-do lists
- Motivational Quotes
- Weekly and Daily Focuses
- Gratitude Log
- Monthly Check in Reflection Pages and Questions
- Made out of animal friendly faux-leather
A Testimony to the Company
What do they say in politics? If you’ve made a mistake admit it and move on? Maybe or maybe not, but life would be better if we all did that.
I ordered my Passion Planner on November 13, 2014. I thought would be plenty of time to get by the New Year or even the first or second week of the year. However, it wasn’t. My one little Passion Planner order was 1 out of 14,000 orders that happened between 11/12/2014 and 11/15/2014.
I received my Passion Planner January 26th, 2015. It turns out that for the first time in 12 years there was a union strike at their destination post on the west coast. What happened next impressed me. The company kept us informed with:
- Weekly posted updates about where my Passion Planner was.
- Instagram photos showing the current work that was under way,
- Complete transparency
- Passion Planner spent $186,000 to bypass the congestion at the West Coast Post and have the shipment airmailed to them directly,
- They packaged, mailed out and shipped 1,500 to 3,000 a day.
- While waiting for my planner, the company sent me a free downloadable PDF version.
My Passion Planner Experience
Now let me tell you why I want to endorse this product. Mainly it is because I love it.
I started using the PDF right away.
I normally don’t use time-oriented planners. During my days, really anything could happen, so it’s hard to predict time slots. I decided to give it a shot anyway and I’m so glad I did.
During the day I’m spinning a lot of different plates, from writer to teacher to potty trainer to driver to cook to friend to wife to mommy, etc. Looking at my day and week and even month ahead in the Passion Planner has helped me to be successful at keeping all my plates spinning.
The real success came after I did the goal setting exercise. Honestly, I never would have realized what my main (personal) goal was unless I had done this exercise. Then I was able to put my goal to action by focusing on the steps I needed to take to get there, which of course was prompted by the planner.
A Word on the Motivation Quotes…
I love the motivation quotes included with Passion Planner. My favorites so far are,
- “Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” ~ Lao Tzu
- “Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.” ~ Buddha
- “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” ~ Mother Teresa
Bringing it Home
If you are looking for something that can help you dream and then help you achieve those dreams, I would highly recommend the Passion Planner.
After using my Passion Planner for a short time, I was able to identify what I need to do in order to successfully write articles and have enough time, energy, and creativity to do my job well. This article was the product of that experience.
Have you ever used Passion Planner? If not, would you consider trying it? I would love you hear your thoughts. Have a wonderful week everyone and happy blogging.
